We have considerable credit and the Canadian banks are aware of our purchasing power. They are rolling out new marketing programs that encourage Boomers to downsize their homes and take out the equity to purchase MORE REAL ESTATE. Getting financing for a 2nd home in Mexico has never been easier for Canadians. This is the first year of the coveted baby boomer generation retiring and we will see this market at your doors shortly.
With a population of only 33 million, Canada is a concentrated market that can be accessed for considerably less marketing dollars than the American visitor. Canadians are higher educated, have more personal income and love to golf! (nearly 80 million tee times last year in a country covered by snow for 6-8 months of the year…) We also have a much higher percentage of passport holders and are more well-travelled than our American neighbours.
